Spring into Lace

Zadig & Voltaire top (more affordable version here and here, Forever 21 shorts, Mossimo platform wedge (similar here and here), Celine box bag (similar here), Bellomina necklace, Coordinates Collection bracelet, Shashi bracelets, Ariella rings, Photos by: Tina Clara

Spring is the perfect time to start wearing white and why not start with this gorgeous lace top by Zadig & Voltaire. It’s ooooh so pretty! It’s very feminine, romantic & has a light airy feel...definitely great for ventilation if I may add...and it’s literally see-through. I wore a nude lace bandeau underneath so that you can still see the white lace details of the top. I would wear this piece with a pair of distressed denim jeans for a little contrast, but it was a hot day, so I’ve decided to pair it with denim shorts instead. I’m a huge lover of short shorts and skirts. Nothing wrong with showing some legs...and lots of it too! Why not? If you got it, flaunt it! ...well just as long as your butt cheeks are not hanging out, that is. :) xx

Golden Hour

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent dress, Beulah jacket, Report sandals, Marc Jacobs bag, Oliver Peoples aviator sunglasses, Photos by: Tina Clara

There’s a special time of day, when the sunlight is the most beautiful. The moment in which the sun gives a golden halo. It’s the hour before the sunset and in photography it’s called the golden hour. This golden hour is the perfect time to capture magic in photos. If you follow my instagram, you may notice that I have a tendency to capture sunset shots. I love going to the beach to watch the sunset and while I’m at it...why not take photos for your viewing pleasure.

I have no idea what my dress color is. So for lack of a better word, let's just call it the “golden hour” dress. I love this dress because it’s made out of silk and feels comfortably soft on the skin. When I can’t decide what to wear or simply feeling bleh, I put on a dress and problem solved. Either short or long, preferably not form fitting, but loose and comfortable. It hides everything! So you can even eat at a buffet without a worry LOL! And ofcourse, always have a cute jacket on hand in case it gets a little nippy (no pun intended). Yikes. Cheers to a great coverage! Ha. xx

Fringe and Gladiators

For Love & Lemons top, Forever 21 shorts, Stuart Weitzman gladiators, American Eagle Outfitters belt, Zara fringe bag (similar here and here), Olive & Pique fedora hat, bracelets by Coordinates Collection and Shashi, Photos by: Tina Clara

With the temperature rising, it is certainly starting to feel more like summer than spring. Getting ready for summer, one must prepare with some great shoes. What can I say about these Stuart Weitzman gladiators? They are my absolute favorite. These sandals look great with denim cut-offs, short skirts, and dresses. I’ve been wearing these almost on a daily basis, and I’m beginning to get an interesting gladiator farmers tan on my legs. This particular pair is well-made, good quality leather and very comfortable. I have big calves, and the straps does not constrict me at all. Great addition to my collection of sandals. Get a pair! You will love it.

The rest of my outfit is relatively old. My fringe bag from Zara is a great piece and is my go to boho bag. The fringe part is actually detachable and you can make it simple plain jane suede bag. I love how it’s just the right amount of fringes. Sometimes too much fringe is overwhelming. My For Love & Lemons top is handmade from Guatemala and I especially love the embroidered details around the collar and sleeves. And ofcourse, the trusted feather fedoras, which I have in both black and gray. That’s what you do when you find something you adore, get it in all the colors available. So with all these pieces put together, it’s a boho kind of day. Simple and chic. I love it. Do you? xx

Springtime Flower Mart

BP denim jacket (similar here and here), H&M turtleneck (similar here and here), Helmut Lang skirt (similar here and here), Tory Burch flats, Zara nude heels, Louis Vuitton bag, Karfil panama hat, Michael Kors watch, Urban Outfitters rings, Photos by: Tina Clara

It’s Spring! You know what that means? Flowers!!

I’ve always had this fantasy of running through a flower field, completely wild and carefree. I think I may have to make this fantasy come true very soon. Hint, hint...it’s on the top of the list on my blogging agenda! But in the meantime, what more fitting than to make a trip to the local flower mart to get some amazing selection in flowers for a great price. There is nothing better than coming home to a room full of beautiful blooming flowers. When you surround yourself with such natural beauty you can’t help but feel good.

On this lovely trip to the flower mart, I went from comfortable nice casual to something a little more upscale to lunch & dinner without having to go home for an wardrobe change. Depending on where I go, I always try to plan ahead. It was the most simple thing as to taking off my denim jacket and switching out my flats to a pair of heels. And voila! I feel fancy! I always have a pair of flats & heels in my car just for days like this. Flats to rest the poor soles, and heels to spice things up. It’s also very convenient to have a daytime tote bag that you can throw everything in. Apparently big enough for all my flowers! I don’t know about you, but I love dressing up for an occasion. I love dressing up for life! When you look good, you will feel good. And when you feel good, you will feel happy. And that energy will rub off on other people. There’s nothing quite like the feeling when you can brighten up someone else’s day by being the best you can be...even with a simple happy smile and a hello. It’s all about the positive energy. Smiling is infectious. So spread it around. :) xx
