Falling for Florals

It’s Valentine’s Day and the only thing I’m really in love with right now are flowers. Unfortunately like love, flowers can be just as fleeting. For that one moment in time, love is beautiful, like a flower blooming its most radiant petals. Kind of correlates to the prettiest point in a relationship, and somehow it just fades. They just wither away and die, like love. (do I sound bitter or what? LOL I’m not) So what to do? Here’s my solution. You just wear it. Tis the season for beautiful floral prints...and I’m crazy in love for them.

Floral prints are definitely worth falling in love for and it’s all in the details. It’s feminine, cute and romantic. Oh come on, you can’t help but feel playful and flirty wearing them. Just like these two pieces from Alice + Olivia and Topshop. I love mixing up the floral prints and colors. It doesn’t have to exactly match but yet it just somehow works. I’m so in love:)

What are you crazy in love for? xx jt

A Lush New Year

“Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”

And here we are....2015! It’s amazing how times flies. Damn, I feel old. Oh wait, I AM old. LOL.

So remember that road trip I was talking about in my last post? Well it happened and ya gotta love the spontaneity. My amazing photographer friend Tina Clara and I decided to skip town for New Years and go to Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona. When we arrived into town, flurry of snowflakes began to fall. By next morning, we opened our hotel window to a dreamy, wintery wonderland. It was a beautiful sight to see...fluffy snow everywhere! While snow wasn’t what we expected on this trip, we happily embraced it with open arms. Life is full of surprises and sometimes things don’t turn out the way you originally planned. But you make do and in the process you will discover many new exciting possibilities. Ahhh...that’s beauty of life.

While we waited for the snow to clear out for the Antelope Canyon tour, we explored around town and had fun in the snow. I certainly didn’t expect the kind of weather so my wardrobe reflects that....but one can never go wrong with a LBD! Even in the snowy weather during New Years eve lol. When in doubt, wear black. I love flouncing about in this classy little black dress from LUSH. It’s cute, classy, and just the right amount of flirty sexy. I braved the snow outdoors for this post and almost lost my fingers (among other body parts) in the process...frostbite anyone?? LOL.

May this new year be a positive step forward in leading you to many new adventures, new roads to explore and new success in all your endeavors. Here’s to wishing you all a Lush and a Happy New Year! xo jt

White Christmas

Mason by Michelle Mason dress (similar here and here) | Stuart Weitzman nudist heels | Guess by Marciano byzantine necklace | Alexis Bittar: earrings, cuff bracelet and ring | Truly Blessed ring | MAC red russian lipstick and cherry lipliner | OPI the thrill of brazil nail polish | Photos by: Tina Clara

It was an almost white Christmas for me. My Colorado skiing/snowboarding trip fell through, so lucky me, “I’ll be home for Christmas”...which was probably meant to be, since I got booked on a job, surprisingly right after Christmas! That never happens. And you just simply can’t turn down work. Sometimes plans change and you just have to make do or perhaps make new plans, even if it’s last minute. Spontaneity can be a good thing! This year ain’t over yet until the fat lady sings... so perhaps a roadtrip?

I went to the Mason sample sale last month and bought a wide array of beautiful dresses. Nothing beats fine quality pieces at a fraction of the full retail price. There were so many great choices! Gotta love a good deal right? Sample sales are the best!!! And since I’m wearing this white dress for Christmas, I guess I can call it a White Christmas. :)

Have yourself a Merry Christmas! If I don’t post in time for the new year....well a Happy New Year too! xx jt

Starry Night

ANGL denim with leather sleeve jacket (similar here) | H&M black shirt | Forever 21 plaid button down shirt (similar here) | Forever 21 denim shorts | Stuart Weitzman lowland boots | Zara beanie (similar here) | J.Crew star cluster necklace | Vita Fede bracelet | Rings: J.Crew star, vtblt, Ariella collection | Photos by: Tina Clara

It was a starry starry night for this dog of mine,
Lucki be her name and oh how doth she shine...

Ok so it wasn’t really a starry night but the wall saids otherwise:)

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful...but if you really think about it, there is always something to be thankful for…every day. I’m thankful for many people and things in my life, but thankful for my dear furry munchkin. She never fails to put a smile on my face. I seriously think dogs invented unconditional love. It’s true the saying where the owner and the dog start sharing personality traits. We sometimes even look alike! She is an extension of me and I love her dearly. She continues to give me joy every day, and it’s hard to believe she is 12 years next month (84 human years??!!) a senior dog at that! Life is short and I try to spend as much quality time with her as possible. Who am I to say her name is Lucki when I’m really the lucky one to have her in my life.

Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he/she owned a dog. Do you have a pet? If so, do you feel the same way? xx jt
