Holiday LRD

Head-to-toe in Guess by Marciano: Marciano leather jacket, Marciano red halter dress (not exactly similar here, but still sexy!), Marciano leather wrap platforms, Marciano necklace

We all have a plethora of little black dresses in our closets. It’s nice to venture out of the typical humdrum of comfort black. So let’s be adventurous this holiday season with a LRD. Little Red Dress. What is it about the color red? Red is simply sexy. The striking red aura brings life into your look. In Chinese tradition, red symbolizes good luck and wards away evil. All more the reason to wear red? Yes! Even if you do decide to stick with black....nothing wrong with that. My closet is a testament to a sea of blackness. Try playing around with red lipstick! Don’t be afraid to wear color.

Red or Black. Here’s to wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!! xx

Penguin Love

Anthropologie sweater, Leather shorts (similar here and here), Celine Trapeze bag, Urban Outfitters hat (similar here), Urban Outfitters tights, Jeffrey Campbell bootie

When a male penguin falls in love with a female penguin, he searches the entire beach to find the perfect pebble to present her. And when he finally finds it, he waddles over to her and places the pebble right in front of her. Kind of like a proposal.

I have a thing for penguins. If you’ve seen the documentary on The March of the Penguins, you would feel the same way too. Not only are they cute and fascinating little creatures, but they symbolize the epitome of love and commitment. Which suffice to say (ahem) is quite lacking in this day and age...and location. These penguins are truly an example to live by. Seeing this sweater at the store, put a big smile on my face and there was absolutely no hesitation that this penguin is coming home with me. Besides penguins, I also love collecting whimsical pieces that incorporates seahorses, mermaids, owls, and angel wings. Oh and believe me, I look forward in sharing some of these in my future posts! xx

Tartan and Leather

Forever 21 plaid shirt (similar here), Forever 21 overall, Jeffrey Campbell bootie, Marc Jacobs bag, Zara beanie, Urban Outfitters tights

One word. Overalls. I have not worn overalls since high school, so this little leather (ok pleather) number was surely a treat to find and wear. It’s grunge punk, edgy and playful all at the same time, don’t you think? The weather in Los Angeles has been relatively warm this winter, up until just recently these past few days, so we ‘Southern Californians’ have been very lucky in our wardrobe choices. Spoiler alert: I am currently obsessed with beanies, hats, and socks....so the next few posts will reflect some of these looks just before the cold weather change.

This year we have lost some beloved public figures and this just solidifies the fact that life is so precious and so fleeting. Be thankful and grateful for the life you live and the life you have. I certainly hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday spent with family, friends and loved ones. I was fortunate enough to spend this Gobblefest in two parts. Asian style buffet with the family for lunch and then traditional American style dinner with my lovely Caucasian friends. I was so stuffed that I had to roll myself to Black Friday. Oh yes I did. This crazy little Asian decided to partake in the sale festivities! One must burn the turkey stuffings off in some way right? I burned a big hole in my wallet. Oh well. xx

Hello. My name is Juting

I’m very excited to start this blog as I have been wanting to for quite some time. I present to you my first official fashion post with a cute style, inspired by my new haircut. Hope you enjoy.

Urban Outfitters sweater and socks, Kaitlyn shorts, Forever 21 boots, Marc Jacobs bag, Zara beanie

I consider myself a smart shopper. I’m that Asian who will always ask for a discount wherever I go & still do (much to my friends’ chagrin) Oh the horror & the embarrassment I see on their faces, I have no shame! What can I say? That’s my personality. I love putting together looks with affordable budget, so it does me proud when someone thinks otherwise. I’ve always enjoyed playing ‘dress-up’ and this is a great opportunity to share it with you. I look forward to it. Thanks for joining me on this journey. Feel free to comment! I would love to know what you think. xx
