Black & White texture

H&M textured crop top (similar here and here) | Topshop monochrome gingham tube skirt | Guess by Marciano strappy pumps with gold accent (similar here) | Givenchy Antigona medium bag | Gentle Monster sunglasses | Michael Kors watch | Photos by: Tina Clara

I love the simplicity in black and white combinations. Sometimes, it’s fun to take it to the next level by playing with different textures to give it a little more edge and contrast. In this case, I love the smooth and sleekness from the pencil tube skirt paired with the textured top. One sleek and smooth, while the other rough and textured. It’s kinda cool, don’t ya think?? That’s what I love about fashion. There are no set rules. You just make it work. This look is classic and tres chic. I feel like such an adult! Oh wait, I am one:)

If you follow me on instagram you may notice that I dyed my hair back to black. My hair is currently black but my blog posts will not reflect that. Apparently, I don’t work as a blonde! Sticking back to my Asian roots gets me more work. And that’s what I gotta do....so Asian it is! I constantly joke to my friends and castings, “Hey look, I’m back to Asian!” As if I wasn’t before;) Since dying my hair back in February (over 2 months ago!) I’ve been booking jobs left and right and been so busy that all my posts are pushed behind. Story of my life again. I have some posts from last year that still need to be published. Basically #FML. I’m terrible at blogging. Haven’t you noticed? I swear I will catch up...said no one ever;) xx jt

Smile

ASTR layered floral tank | ASTR pleated floral skirt | Christian Louboutin heels | Saint Laurent Y Ligne clutch (similar here) | Nadri earrings | Vita Fede bracelet | Gentle Monster sunglasses (similar here) | Photos by: Tina Clara

“I have many problems in my life. But my lips don’t know that. They always smile.” - Charlie Chaplin

I’m one of those people if I don’t smile, I have this god-awful resting bitch face. So I do my best to smile all the time! The best feeling is when someone smiles at you back. A simple smile can lift anyone’s mood and it’s infectious, so spread it around.

Another reason to smile (beside hanging by the lovely Charlie Chaplin ‘Smile’ Wall in Venice) is when I get to wear something so pretty such at this 2 piece set by ASTR. I love the flouncy aspect of this outfit. I don’t typically like wearing crop tops because I don’t want to focus on sucking my gut in all day LOL. A girl’s gotta eat! This crop tank has the perfect amount of coverage. And again, it’s floral and flirty. What's not to love?!!

A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear....so wear it well. :) xx jt

Mad for Plaid

Chelsea 28 plaid coat | H&M blouse | Guess by Marciano leather pants | Guess by Marciano platform booties | BCBG moto cutout clutch | Lillianna necklace | Photos by: Tina Clara

I simply went mad for this particular plaid coat. The colors are so pretty! It was a nice addition to my closet full of solid colored coats since I typically avoid patterns. I tend to lean toward neutrals to get more wearability out of the pieces. But in this case, the coat was very pretty and feminine...and I simply couldn’t resist.

So this photoshoot was an oldie but goodie from fall of last year. I know!!! Don’t ask. Why the heck did I wait until now to post? Well I suck at this and just never got around to it. I’m sincerely sorry! Unfortunately most of the items are now no longer available and I’ve been trying to search for anything comparable. I give mad props to the full-time fashion bloggers out there who post on a daily basis. How do they do it?? This is a lot of work and I’m just trying to post one. Ha. Please be patient! :) xx jt
